Today we get the sad news of the passing of John Motson, known to the football family simply as Motty.  Passing in his sleep at the age of 77.

It’s hard to imagine watching football on TV and to have never enjoyed John’s expertise both in facts and commentary, surely my life would have far less if I hadn’t shared this timeline with the great football man. I thank you, John.
