Thank you, Alan Arkin. RIP

When I was much younger I watched a film where the leader actor made such an influence on me that ever since I looked out for his films and always made an effort to watch them. That actor was Alan Arkin. It must be 40 years ago, and I can’t even recall the name of the film, or indeed the many films I watched since. Yes, I could look it up now for this posting, but that seems a bit false because I’m not reviewing films I’m just saying thanks to a man who, for me, was simply brilliant to watch.
